Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade delayed to April, physical releases for Japan and Asia
Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade has been delayed and will now release on April 24, 2025, Game Source Entertainment announced today. The game was first planned for this October, then March 2025.
Additionally, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade is confirmed to be receiving a physical release in Japan and Asia. This includes a special edition as well, which comes with Hanafuda playing cards, a letter opener based on Shigure’s signature weapon “Sakura Blossom”, a digital card for the original soundtrack and single, and an art book. Pre-orders for the physical release are two postcards.
One is an adventure to uncover the mystery of immortality. One is a workplace fantasy comedy about saving a struggling business. One is a world-spanning war to break a cycle of curses and rescue a human princess. Three stories, one common foe—the arrogant and disdainful “Nine Tailed-Fox.”
Three hundred years ago, a human named “Yasha” slaughtered demons, causing nightmares for the demon world under the Blood Moon. With the vanishing of “Yasha,” the Blood Moon ended, and a delicate balance was achieved between humans and demons. However, three hundred years later, the balance is shattered as vicious demons raid the Ninja Village. Shigure embarks on a journey due to the unusual actions of the demons and the disappearance of her master.
Since the beginning of time, Inferno’s Oni Emissaries and Celestial Realm’s Okami have competed for resources in the human world, maintaining a balance between heaven and hell. With the arrival of the next Okami foretold by prophecy, the balance is about to be disrupted, and the three states hold their breath in anticipation. To improve her work performance, Sara sets out on a journey to find this Okami.
Legend has it that whoever obtains “The Cosmic Lord” can rule the world. When this rumor spread, it caused a stir. Today, “The Cosmic Lord” is born in human form within the home of the lord of the Konpeki Realm, prompting the nine-tailed army to launch an attack, plunging the world back into chaos. Taketora fights to protect his lord but finds himself trapped in a cycle of demonic spells…
Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade weaves a tale filled with laughter and tears, love and vengeance, familial bonds and friendship, highlighting the intricate relationships between demons and humans. Set in an era where demons and humans once coexisted in harmony, a sudden wave of attacks shatters this fragile balance. Why have the demons turned against humanity? In a chaotic world filled with demons, how will the three protagonists restore peace?
Shigure, Sara, and Taketora each have their own purposes and missions. However, characters from each chapter may appear in the stories of different protagonists!
Moreover, each protagonist has their own theme song, performed by their voice actors Yoko Hikasa, Ayana Taketatsu, and Rikiya Koyama.
