Gradius may be hitting the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow. A listing posted on Nintendo’s site includes a January 9 launch date for Konami’s side-scrolling shooter. Assuming it’s correct, you’ll be able to purchase Gradius at 12 PM ET tomorrow for $4.99.

Wow, really?! Instead of SMB3 or Zelda 3? Let the complaining begin… with me, apparently =P

Just download in Wii Mode on Wii U…or play on OG Wii VC…or through Super Mario All-Stars for Wii or SNES…or on GBA as Mario Advance 4…or the original NES cartridge.

      lolz not that hard, dude.

I thought that said Garfield at first.. My excitment soon started to hit rock bottom.

Gradius is a really goofy way of spelling Super Mario Bros. 3.

Ha! Yes. Gradius is a solid title, nothing against the game, but at this point it just feels like Nintendo is purposefully holding back these giant titles for some reason despite the rest of the world already having them.

Yeah. It’s more annoying because the Super Mario Bros. 3 page has been on the 3DS and Wii U eShop’s with a TBD date for a while now. Those meanies!

In all seriousness, though, I guess it’s a good thing for me at least. I have too much on my backlog already! heh

Nintendo are are you guys stupid or something? Where the hell is SMB3 and ALTTP? Europe and Japan has both SMB3 on the Wii and 3DS VC while I’m pretty sure Japan is going to get ALTTP while North American still doesn’t have the damn game. GOOD GOD NINTENDO OF AMERICA, YOU SUCK!
