Natsume on why Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories isn’t on 3DS, support for the system

The fourth portion of Natsume’s winter Q&A with fans was added to the company’s Tumblr page today. Natsume tackled topics about the 3DS (why no Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, series and support for the system in general) and NX (not much to say currently). Why was the 3DS skipped over for Seeds of Memories?

Skipped over implies it wasn’t considered as a candidate; while we know we have ample 3DS fans, we wanted to offer a Harvest Moon title on other devices. Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories is the first true Harvest Moon release for smartphones, giving new players the opportunity to enjoy the world of Harvest Moon.

Are you guys going to be working on Harvest Moon games for 3DS later on or you guys be working on the games for all systems even for 3DS as one of them ??

We’re definitely keeping our options open, both with our own franchises (Harvest Moon, Reel Fishing, Gabrielle, and Ninja) as well as looking for nifty niche games. We’re always open to hearing fan suggestions!
