One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition confirmed for North America, digital only

Posted on May 20, 2017 by (@NE_Brian) in News, Switch

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition was confirmed for Europe earlier this week. Now we can say the same for North America as well.

Like in Europe, One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition will be out sometime in September. However, it’ll be a digital only title in the states. The good news is that Switch is region free, so if you’re interested in a physical version, you can import it from Europe.

[is there a way to import European Video Games? because Amazon UK won’t let me]

    • kurodo

      You can buy from play-asia

      • James Fox

Play-Asia sells UK games? for reals?

        • kurodo

they sell games from all regions, actually!

    • Apfel

you have amazon germany, italy, spain and france
your got plenty of shops too

      • James Fox

Does Amazon Germany ship games to the US?

        • Apfel

    • Melatelo

Play Asia is absolutely amazing. Great prices, and they have like a ridiculous amount of stock with games from all regions. Shop with them all the time.

  • Roto Prime

This would make me mad in the past…..but now I can just buy the Japanese version and enjoy…..they better not pull this with Dragon Ball for the Nintendo Switch…

    • James Fox

Unless the Japanese release has English subtitles or any option for English speaking gamers, I say find a f**king way to import the EU/UK release

Again, Amazon UK is a no go because they only ship games within the UK

      • Roto Prime

All you have to do is check on Japanese eshop to see if it has english…99.9 percent sure it will!

        • James Fox

Puyopuyo Tetris didn’t have an English option on it’s Japanese release

          • ben

Puyopuyo and Dq heroes are the only games on the switch that don’t play in English. I live in Japan and have my switch set to English and all my games are in English, I have to change my settings to Japanese now to play games in Japanese.

It is pretty amazing how seamless it is.

          • Roto Prime

I love you and I’m jelly!

          • Roto Prime

Yep, just checked, I love having the Japanese eshop on my Nintendo Switch.

  • TheGoomba

Something tells me if the Switch wasn’t region free, this wouldn’t have happened. They knew fans would buy it anyway so they might as well give us the English version and get a few more people who wouldn’t buy it in Japanese.

  • ジョシュ

Not a big deal. I’ll buy it anyway.

  • MoYeung

    No confidence with physical release…

  • disqus

Well this is seriously the dumbest thing I have ever seen, one of the reasons i got a Switch is because of the gam cartridges

  • metalpants

Sounds good to me. Only problem is, I don’t know if I really wanna double dip… from what I remember on Wii U, this game had some fun stuff here and there, but it wasn’t the most deep. Don’t let that stop you guys from buying it though… I did have a lot of fun with it. I just don’t think paying full price twice for the same game is smart… especially a standard, straightforward one like this one.
