Switch owner receives system with quality check screenshot

Posted on May 14, 2017 by (@NE_Brian) in News, Random, Switch

When you take your Switch unit out of the box for the first time, you expect it to be entirely new. Yet one user found the screenshot above on the system when starting it up following the initial boot.

It’s thought that the image is from a quality check program not typically made available to consumers. Perhaps the person operating this Switch unit accidentally pressed the screenshot button, or forgot to delete the photo during the testing process. In any case, it’s not something that you generally see, so it’s pretty interesting to see this pop up.

In a world obsessed with traffic, pageviews and potential income, we
gradually begin to lower our standards and publish just about anything
    — as long as it’s remotely related to the niche/industry.

    At some
point, we HAVE to regain the common sense of saying, “This piece is
related to Nintendo, but not necessarily applicable or appropriate for
    publishing.”

    Anyway, consider this constructive feedback.

    • Generally I agree, but there are many outlets for that. It’s good to have some that post everything – some will find this very interesting.

I am happy this was posted. It is like a small window into Nintendo.
