2008 RPG Off on the way to Nintendo Switch
Off, an RPG that was originally released in 2008, is now making the jump to Nintendo Switch. The game is slated for sometime in 2025.
Off was originally made by Unproductive Fun Time. After the French-language game picked up steam following a strong fan reception, the studio gave its blessing for an English fan translation in 2011.
Here’s a bit of information about it:
“I’m the Batter. I’ve been entrusted with a sacred mission.”
One of the most influential RPGs of the last 20 years has finally arrived on the Nintendo Switch, featuring an all-new battle system and new areas and hidden bosses from the game’s creator, Mortis Ghost.
Take control of the Batter as he seeks to purify an uncanny and hopeless world haunted by specters.
Fangamer also revealed today that it will ship a physical collector’s edition. Copies include the game, a Batter bobblehead statue, a set of six Zodiac cards in a foil-embossed pass case, and a 16-page prequel comic by Mortis Ghost, entitled Of. The standard version has an instruction manual, reversible cover art, and a “Memories of the Park” souvenir art card (these are also in the other physical version). Pre-orders are already available here.
