Monster Hunter 3 seeing big changes for North America and Europe

A few weeks ago, Capcom announced that a competition was being held to see who could come up with a new and interesting weapon which could be added in the North American/Europe versions of Monster Hunter 3. That’s not the only big change you’ll find in the localized version of the game, though. According to Monster Hunter 3 producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, there are plans to add more than one new weapon and perhaps more importantly, the developers have listened to feedback from Western gamers in order to improve on the online mode.

“Two of the big things that we’re doing right now is we’re setting up the network infrastructure in North America and in Europe, so that in itself is kind of a challenge. Since we’re building it from the ground up, we’re able to take more into consideration what western players want. So we heard a lot of feedback and heard a lot of input from Western gamers about what they really want in their online mode. The other thing we’re doing is we’re adding some new weapons to the game and right now we have a competition, a contest on the Capcom-Unity site, so if you check out our Unity site, it’s running until the end of September, and we might pick one if there is a really cool weapon for the contest and then you might see your weapon in the game.”
