Point cards won’t work with the 3DS

This information comes from Nintendo’s 3DS site…

“Prepaid Nintendo point cards cannot be used with the Nintendo 3DS. Prepaid point cards that can be used with the 3DS will go on sale at a later date.”

This is a shame, but at least there will be a better system in place in terms of purchasing content on the 3DS eShop. It is odd though that players will be forced to use cards on the DSi while DSiWare content on 3DS will take advantage of the new cash-based system.
