We Are Doomed

Vertext Pop, the developer behind Graceful Explosion Machine and Super Crush KO, today announced that it’s bringing We Are Doomed to Switch. The arcade action twin-stick shooter launches on August 13.

Here’s an overview of We Are Doomed, along with a trailer:

Zap polygon baddies with an absurdly overpowered laserbeam in We Are Doomed, the debut game from Vertex Pop! Dive head-first into the action with reckless abandon, charge the SUPERBEAM, and blast everything out of existence in an instant. Chase high scores or just enjoy the beautiful explosion of geometry, colour, and light.

The game features multiple score-chasing modes, including Waves Mode, pitting the player against 30 waves ranging from chill to hyper-intense, and an Endless Mode that asks how many waves you can survive.

The game features a set of easy to learn, hard to master mechanics with waves that are quick to start and restart. Play the game that started Vertex Pop’s love of vibrant colours, bold shapes, and beautiful, pulsing geometry. Blast enemies while enjoying a chill, and occasionally glitchy soundscape in this fast-paced and action-packed title.

We Are Doomed will be sold digitally for Switch via the eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99, though a 15 percent launch week discount is planned. Additionally, those who own Super Crush KO or Graceful Explosion Machine will receive a 40 percent discount!
