Cambridge, Mass. – July 1, 2011– Harmonix today announced that singles from Buffalo Springfield, R.E.M., System of a Down and The Vapors will be available beginning July 5th in theRock Band 3Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Band continues to offer amazing variety in our weekly DLC offerings, and this week is no exception! Two stand out singles fromfan favorites System of a Down– “Aerials” and “Hypnotize” – make their way to the store. SOAD’s modern rock riffs are offset by the pop hooks of R.E.M.’s “Man on the Moon” and The Vapors “Turning Japanese”. A classic cut, “For What It’s Worth”, from Buffalo Springfield, rounds out the offerings for July 5th!
As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
