Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 targeting Summer 2022 launch, video introduces “warp slash”
At BitSummit today, Inti Creates shared the latest on Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, including an updated release window and a look at a new “warp slash” mechanic.
One of the new features Inti Creates has added since we last saw Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is the “warp slash”. This allows players to defeat an enemy from anywhere on the screen once it’s been tagged. It can be performed consecutively, without even touching the ground. The feature also works on multiple enemies.
Warp slash was shown off in a new Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 video with Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. The footage shows that Inafune has been providing the team with feedback in hopes of making a better product.

Also announced today is that Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is targeting release in Summer 2022. We previously had a vague 2022 launch window.
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is currently in development for Switch, and you can find the official website here. We’ll have more coverage on the game in the months to come.
This wasn’t the only news from Inti Creates at BitSummit. The studio unveiled Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2, which is a direct sequel to the original Switch title. We have more on that here.
