Rock Band Music Store update next week

Cambridge, Mass. – November 16th, 2011 – Harmonix today announced that on November 22nd a five pack of hits from the platinum selling Canadian rock group Nickelback and Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades for Red Hot Chili Peppers tracks will hit theRock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. More than 100 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.

Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii™

Nickelback, one the biggest rock bands in the world with sales of over 45 million worldwide, has sent 18 singles rocketing onto various Billboard charts, have won three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, 12 JUNO Awards, and earned five Grammy Award nominations! The “Nickelback Then and Now” pack features some of the band’s biggest hits, spanning their successful multiplatinum career! The pack hits just in time for the band’s newest album, Here and Now, due out November 21st on Roadrunner Records.

“How You Remind Me,” the smash single from 2001’s Silver Side Up, leads the pack. It’s followed by “Someday,” the lead single off the band’s 2003 record, The Long Road, and “Animals” from 2005’s All the Right Reasons. “If Today Was Your Last Day” from 2008’s Dark Horse, fleshes out the catalog of classics with “This Means War” off of Nickelback’s latest record, closing out this set of rocking hits.

Also available will be Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades to previously-available downloadable content from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, including upgrades for “Under the Bridge,” “By the Way,” and “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.”
