Gakken finally gives update on Earthpedia – Japanese release date and new details

After disappearing for well over a year, Gakken’s Earthpedia is back, and it even has a Japanese release date. Earthpedia is set for an April 11 launch. It will cost 4,980 yen.

There are a few new details about the project – you can find those below.

– Play as an international agent
– Conduct investigations about the life and knowledge of Earth
– Five categories: Nature, Culture, Science & Technology, Space and Supernatural
– Use your “i-Gear” to scan AR cards
– View life forms in your hand
– Qoncept AR Engine used for AR technology
– Pick up a “Moon Sand Ballpoint Pen” with your purchase
– The pen’s cap has a special type of sand that was created based off analysis of moon materials brought back by the Apollo missions
– Launch ceremony taking place on the 26th
