Mario vs. Donkey Kong announced for Switch
After a number of years off, the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series is making a comeback with the just-announced Switch game. It will launch on February 16, 2024.
Nintendo made a number of entries in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series going back to the debut in 2004 on the Game Boy Advance. However, this is actually the first one on Switch. Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge, which came out in 2016 for Wii U and 3DS, was the most recent entry (until now).
Here’s a brief overview of the game:
Run, jump, and backflip your way to rescuing the stolen Mini-Mario toys in this puzzling twist on Mario action. Obstacles like spikes, moving platforms, and falling bricks stand in your way—put your brain to work and figure out the best way to reach the Mini-Marios. The rivalry that originally heated up on the Game Boy Advance system reignites on the Nintendo Switch system with newly-added co-op play and updated visuals.
