Latias location guide in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
We’re continuing our coverage of Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with one for Latias outlining where to find it in The Indigo Disk, including its exact location on the Paldea map.
Latias, along with Latios, form a pair called the Eon duo. They’re actually not version exclusives this time around, either – if you’re playing Pokemon Violet, Latias can spawn with no external intervention. If you’re playing Pokemon Scarlet, you’ll need to finish a Group Quest to gain access to it on your game.
Latias location guide
There are tons of Legendary Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, and all of the returning ones are accessed via an NPC named Snacksworth who appears outside of Blueberry Academy after you finish the DLC’s main story. Every time you finish 10 Solo Quests or 10 Group Quests, he will give you a random snack that attracts a corresponding Legendary Pokemon. That Pokemon will then appear somewhere on Paldea’s map, and you’ll receive a very vague hint as to where it’s located.
Luckily, we’ve narrowed down the Latias location for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in the image above. It’s on the southernmost part of Paldea in South Province Area Four at the exact point shown above. More specifically, it’s on a rocky cliffside overlooking the South Paldean Sea. The only problematic move Latias knows is Reflect Type – if you’re bringing a Breloom to try to put it to sleep with Spore, Reflect Type will make Latias a Grass-type. Grass-type Pokemon are not affected by Spore, so maybe try something like a Hypnosis or Thunder Wave Gallade instead.
