Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Mochi Mayhem Epilogue out now – how to start, tips

How to start Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Mochi Mayhem Epilogue

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s new Mochi Mayhem epilogue is now available, and we’ve put a post together outlining how to start it. We also have a brief list of tips and information regarding the new Mythical Pokemon. This event is roughly an hour long and lets players obtain a brand-new Mythical Pokemon.

To initiate the event, you’ll need the Mythical Pecha Berry item. It’s currently being distributed via Mystery Gift through the Get via Internet option. Once you have the item in hand, visit the Peachy’s store in Kitakami (directly east of the Community Center) and interact with the purple object on the table. To access Mochi Mayhem at all, you’ll need to have cleared Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s base story as well as both the Teal Mask and the Indigo Disk’s respective campaigns.

Mochi Mayhem Epilogue

Mochi Mayhem lets you access the Mythical Pokemon Pecharunt for the first time. It’s the first Poison/Ghost-type Pokemon since Gengar way back in the first generation, and it’s also Scarlet and Violet’s only new Mythical Pokemon. In terms of competitive, Pecharunt is designed around the Poison status. Its signature move, Malignant Chain, is a 100 BP special Poison-type move with a 50% chance of inflicting the badly poisoned status on its victim. Pecharunt’s Ability, Poison Puppeteer, will also confuse any Pokemon Pecharunt happens to poison by its own hand. With a stat spread of 88 across the board save for 160 in Defense, Pecharunt is also incredibly physically bulky.

Fortunately, Mochi Mayhem is a fairly straightforward epilogue. You’ll travel between Paldea and Kitakami and take on some tough battles – but since you have to clear The Indigo Disk’s main campaign to access the epilogue at all, you should be okay (as long as you’ve got a few Level 100s). In one section, you’ll need to find a TV remote that’s hidden in the Community Center – this is the only part that isn’t immediately straightforward. In this case, the remote is off to the right inside a potted plant in the corner. Keep that in mind if you have trouble finding it!

We’ve been hard at work writing guides for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC, so if you’d like to see our full list of content, you can do so right here.
