How to defeat 7 Star Blaziken in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
The new Tera Raid Battle Event for 7 Star Blaziken is currently live in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and we’ve cooked up a guide going over how to defeat it.
Blaziken knows Blaze Kick, Low Kick, Brave Bird, and Earthquake as its normal moves. It’s Tera Flying, and it also uses Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Rock Slide, and Overheat as additional moves during the battle. Blaziken is available to battle from now until January 14, and then again from January 19 to 21. If you don’t have any Pokemon ready for this wave, you can check out our guide and prepare your counter for the next wave.
7 Star Blaziken Tera Raid Battle guide
For those wondering how to defeat 7 Star Blaziken in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Rotom-Wash is a fantastic counter to 7 Star Blaziken. It’s an Electric/Water-type that resists Blaze Kick and Brave Bird, is immune to Earthquake, and takes nothing from Low Kick because it’s so light. We’d recommend leveling up Rotom-Wash to Level 100 and giving it maxed-out EVs in HP and Defense, plus 4 in Special Attack (plus a Bold Nature or mint). Give it the moves Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt, and Will-O-Wisp (the fourth slot isn’t important). Make sure its Tera Type is Electric, too. With this, you’ll be able to set up Nasty Plot while taking low damage from 7 Star Blaziken’s attacks. Generally, we’d recommend setting up two or three Nasty Plots before you start attacking. Blaziken will clear your stats once during the battle, but it shouldn’t be too tough to set back up and get back to attacking.
In terms of teammates, Miraidon is a decent pick who can set up Electric Terrain and then attack with Electro Drift. You’ll probably see lots of Miradon if you join 7 Star Blaziken battles with random players online. It is weak to Earthquake however, so we’d either recommend Tera Flying, a Shuca Berry, or an Air Balloon. If you’ve still got a Mew from the Mewtwo Raid Event a few months back, it’s a great idea to equip it with Acid Spray, Reflect, and a Light Clay item. Chilling Water is viable here too, as you can reduce 7 Star Blaziken’s attack stat through its shield.
Rotom-Wash certainly worked out best for us, but how about you? Did you manage to clear 7 Star Blaziken’s Raid event with a different Pokemon? If so, feel free to share down below.
