Princess Peach: Showtime seemingly made with Unreal Engine
New findings point to Princess Peach: Showtime using Unreal Engine. The game’s Chinese display box has surfaced, which provides us with that information. The Unreal Engine logo is included on the back of the box.
Here’s a quick look as shared by X user Akfamilyhome:
This isn’t the first Nintendo-published Switch game to make use of Unreal Engine 4. Yoshi’s Crafted World was built using the tech, and more recently, Pikmin 4 did as well.
Nintendo’s Switch titles have implemented a number of different engines over the years. The company has internal tools of its own, but we’ve also seen games like the Super Mario RPG remake taking advantage of Unity.
Princess Peach: Showtime will be available for Switch on March 22, 2024.
