Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream Open Network Test planned, full details

We’ve got a bit of news for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream fans, as Bandai Namco today announced a new Open Network Test which fans will be able to download on the eShop. The event will be taking place on Switch and other platforms late next month.

For those that participate, players can explore the virtual world and engage in 20-player raids against unique and vicious enemies such as The Skull Reaper and Sword Golem. They’ll also be able to experience the roles of their favorite characters from the series.

Characters

Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream will include nine out of the 21 characters from the full roster depending on the party’s needs:

Fight: Kirito and Asuna who are versatile with their well-balanced DPS abilities.
Tank: Agil who specializes in provocation skills to attract enemies and shield their allies.
Rogue: Argo and LLENN who use their offensive prowess and agility to disrupt and confuse foes.
Mage: Oberon who creates battlefield anomalies through various disruptive spells.
Ranger: Sinon and Fukaziroh who excel in long-range attacks.
Support: Leafa who provides magical buffs and healing to aid her team.

The sessions for the test are as follows:

North America: September 20 (Friday) 7 PM PDT to September 21 (Saturday), 7 PM PDT
North America: September 21 (Saturday) 11 PM PDT to September 22 (Sunday) 8 PM PDT
UK: September 21 (Saturday) 03:00 BST to September 22 (Sunday), 03:00 BST
Europe: September 22 (Sunday), 07:00 CEST to September 23 (Monday) 04:00 CEST

Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream launches for Switch on October 4, 2024 and the Open Network Test will be held between September 21 and September 23. More coverage can be found here.
