Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono is currently in the hospital
Capcom’s Street Fighter producer, Yoshinori Ono, is currently in the hospital. An official message on the company’s Japanese blog notes that Ono was brought to the hospital following a promotional event for Street Fighter X Tekken in Asia.
The translated message in full:
“I would like to bring something else to everyone’s attention. Shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia Ono-san’s physical condition rapidly and heavily deteriorated and he had to be taken to the hospital.
“Because of his hospital tenure he will not be performing work-related affairs for a while. Ono’s well-being is very important to us and we wish for his steady recovery.”
Capcom did not specify Ono’s current status, but the notice does imply that he’s in stable condition. We definitely hope that’s the case. Get well soon, sir!
