Nintendo Switch Online adds Donkey Kong Country 3, Yoshi’s Story icons

Not one, but two classic games now have icons on Nintendo Switch Online with Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble and Yoshi’s Story.

Both of these are “play to unlock” promotions. That means you’ll need to start up each title on Nintendo Switch Online in order for them to be made available. Even if you play for just a second, that counts. Note that Yoshi’s Story requires an Expansion Pack tier subscription.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble only has five icons. For Yoshi’s Story though, there’s actually thirteen designs available. Each one is categorized as a character and costs 10 Platinum Points on My Nintendo.

Both games will be featured on Nintendo Switch Online with their icons until June 2, 2025. For coverage of each new icons addition to the service as they go live, keep an eye on this page.
