PowerA unveils first Nintendo Switch 2 controllers with Hall Effect sticks
PowerA released tons of controllers for Nintendo Switch over the years with various designs, and the company is gearing up for its first Switch 2 products – which come with a unique wrinkle that they’ll feature Hall Effect sticks.
Before Nintendo announced its new system, there was talk that the company would be incorporation the use of Hall Effect to prevent Joy-Con drift. Unfortunately though, that turned out to be incorrect. While Nintendo says it made improvements to its controllers on Switch 2, it was confirmed a few weeks back that they don’t have Hall Effect sticks.
That’s where PowerA comes in – at least for the time being. Newly revealed are the company’s officially-licensed Advantage Wireless Controllers, which are currently planned with three designs – one in black and two with Mario themes. Hall Effect sticks are included to “provide a more fluid pro-level feel and help with precision and longevity”, according to the product description.
