Monster Crown “Red King” 1.1.0 update out now, patch notes – new content and improvements

Monster Crown Red King 1.1.0 update

This week, Monster Crown released a brand new version 1.1.0 update on Nintendo Switch, which is known as “Red King”.

The update comes with new content and significant improvements. Mark’s Quest, the brand-new province Dino Land with a variety of new monsters, is now available. The team has also revamped monster stat generation, battle math systems, and collision system. There are also various graphical enhancements and optimizations.

The full rundown is as follows:

  • “Red King Update”, includes Mark’s Quest Free DLC, as well as a brand new province “Dino Land” and a handful of new monsters to obtain
  • Online features were removed.
  • Monster stat generation math and Battle math has been completely rewritten.
  • Collision system has been completely rewritten. Monsters will no longer spawn out of bounds and many long-standing collision issues have been fixed.
  • Minor graphical changes have been applied in various instances including overworld sprites for the Duchess and Rodney
  • Menu behavior is now more clear and responsive
  • Stat Orbs now raise your base stats by 0.1 instead of your derived stats which means you can now get a lot more granular with building a team
  • Complete rebalancing for many monsters who were previously undertuned or overtuned, including movesets
  • Various graphical tweaks/adjustments
  • Improved state management
  • Monsters now give you a bit more wiggle room when spawning on the overworld (they were a little too close at times before)
  • The Moveset Transfer exploit has been removed
  • Out of bounds exploit possible in a specific section of Dew Cave has been patched out
  • Dizzy Status condition text adjustment
  • Improved data handling when monsters die during battle in permadeath mode
  • Improved Box auto-add slot select when you tame new monsters with a full party
