New evidence suggests Digimon Story: Time Stranger is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 version
Bandai Namco hasn’t announced Digimon Story: Time Stranger for Nintendo Switch 2 at this time, but new evidence seems to suggest that a port is planned.
A listing has appeared in the EAN database showing a specific code for a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the RPG. EANs are basically the North American equivalent of the UPC system. EAN, which is European Article Number, lets retailers identify products when scanned at the point-of-sale.
Bandai Namco’s Nintendo Switch 2 support has been a bit slow given its portfolio. The company just released Tamagotchi Plaza and is coming out with Shadow Labyrinth later this month. Beyond that though, Bandai Namco hasn’t confirmed anything else for Nintendo Switch 2.
On the original Nintendo Switch, Bandai Namco did often come out with late ports. Titles such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet landed on the console after they initially appeared on other platforms. It’s possible we could see something similar with Digimon Story: Time Stranger.
We’ll let you know if we end up hearing anything official. In the meantime, we have other Nintendo Switch 2 news here.
