Level-5 today announced its latest plans for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, including a new Nintendo Switch 2 physical edition and a Photo Mode with the game reaching another sales milestone.

Since launch, the title has sold over 1.2 million units. That accounts for all platforms combined worldwide.

To celebrate the news, Level-5 has confirmed that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will receive a physical release in Japan. It’s due out on August 7, 2025. Pre-orders for fans outside of Japan are already open here – the game is on the cartridge, so thankfully this is not a game-key card.

Finally, a Photo Mode is coming later this month. It will let players take pictures using features such as pose settings, the option to show or hide Buddies, and adjustable camera angles. Once the update is live, we’ll let you know.

Thanks to Level-5 for today’s news. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is out on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 – we have further coverage of both systems here and here.
