Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2 Nintendo Switch 2, Switch frame rate and resolution detailed
Pac-Man World Re-Pac 2 launches next Friday, but for those wondering about the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions, Bandai Namco has provided technical details which cover the frame rate and resolution.
Let’s start with the Nintendo Switch 2 version. The game will include a Performance Mode, which focuses on hitting 60 frames per second. This features a 1080p resolution when docked and when playing portably.
If you’re playing in Resolution Mode on Nintendo Switch 2, that means the game will focus on image quality while capping the frame rate at 30 FPS. That brings the resolution up to 4K when docked. However, it’s still 1080p for handheld play (which is native), so you really should be playing in Performance Mode if you’re not using a TV.
There’s also a Performance Mode in the Nintendo Switch version, but interestingly, this still limits things to 30 FPS. We assume there are fewer drops when playing this way. Performance Mode features a resolution of 810p when docked and 576p when playing portably.
Finally, for Resolution Mode on Nintendo Switch, you’re still getting a maximum of 30 FPS here. Expect it to have a resolution of 1080p when docked and 720p on the go.
Bandai Namco will also be coming out with Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero in November which has its own differences depending on whether you’re playing on Nintendo Switch 2 or Switch. We have those details here.
