Kirby Air Riders confirms splitscreen multiplayer

Kirby Air Riders has officially confirmed plans for local mutliplayer splitscreen support.

Not including the feature would have been an odd omission. However, some fans were concerned that it wouldn’t be a part of the Nintendo Switch 2 game. During this week’s Nintendo Direct for the title, splitscreen multiplayer for Kirby Air Riders actually wasn’t mentioned.

Our first look at splitscreen was posted via a screenshot on social media, which shows four players going up against each other. We’ve included that image below. 

A small note about this – you can naturally do two-player splitscreen as well. When playing like that, you can decide between vertical or horizontal splitting.

Kirby Air Riders will also support other multiplayer options. With local wireless play, up to eight players can battle against each other. Online multiplayer actually extends things further by increasing the player count to sixteen. Like other Nintendo Switch 2 games, GameChat is supported so that you can connect with your friends via video or voice chat.
