Tetris 99 49th Maximus Cup on the way

Today, Nintendo announced the 49th Maximus Cup for Tetris 99.

There won’t be a new theme this time around. However, it is a chance to catch up on previous ones you missed. Specifically, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby’s Dream Buffet, and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe are getting the spotlight.

Also as a bonus, it’ll be easier to earn these themes. You’ll only need to collect 20 points to unlock them. Previously, each theme needed 100 points to be obtained. Points are earned based on your placement in matches.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be up on first on August 29. Kirby’s Dream Buffet will take its turn on August 31. Finally, Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe goes live on September 1.
