Nintendo Switch Online adds Fire Emblem, F-Zero icons

We’re in September, which means there’s a new set of classic icons available on Nintendo Switch Online – and now it’s time for Fire Emblem and F-Zero to shine. They’ll be up for the whole month.

Both of these have a “play to unlock” requirement. That means you’ll need to boot up F-Zero on the SNES app and Fire Emblem on the GBA app in order for them to be made available. Note that for Fire Emblem, you’ll need to be a part of the Expansion Pack tier on Nintendo Switch Online.

Both games have just five icons available. They cost 10 Platinum Points each on My Nintendo, but you can receive 50 points just by starting up both titles (for a total of 100). After redeeming an icon, it’ll be yours to keep forever – even if your Nintendo Switch Online subscription ends.
