Another wave of Nintendo Switch 1 games have been fixed for backwards compatibility on Switch 2.

This ties in with the latest firmware update. Version 20.4.0 dropped for both systems this week, and while Nintendo didn’t mention anything, several more titles now work properly.

The full list is as follows:

  • Beat ‘Em Up Collection (QUByte Classics)
  • Bright Memory: Infinite Gold Edition
  • Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R
  • Killing Time: Resurrected
  • Love Clear
  • Melty Blood: Type Lumina
  • Mon-Yu: Defeat Monsters And Gain Strong Weapons And Armor. You May Be Defeated, But Don’t Give Up. Become Stronger. I Believe There Will Be A Day When The Heroes Defeat The Devil King. [only Japanese version confirmed fixed currently]
  • Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX [only applies to Japanese version currently]
  • Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis Cloud
  • Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025
  • Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia

One game missing from the list is Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. Thankfully, the game itself works fine. However, Nintendo recently acknowledged that the game has audio issues when playing on Nintendo Switch 2. We still think this will be fixed at some point – likely in a future update.

You can find lists of previous backwards compatibility fixes made this year here and here.
