Resident Evil Requiem reveals first Nintendo Switch 2 handheld gameplay

Capcom just revealed plans for a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem a couple of weeks ago, but first gameplay has already come in. A build is playable at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show this week and fans are now starting to upload footage online.

For the first gameplay, we have a look at Resident Evil Requiem running in handheld mode on Nintendo Switch 2. As far as we’re aware Capcom doesn’t have a setup to play the demo docked.

We’ll let you judge things for yourself, but so far, this is looking like an admirable port from Capcom. A comparison was previously shared in which some differences were shown with the PS5 version (particularly with hair), though it’s holding up pretty well. You can watch that video here.
