Best-selling games of August 2025 in the U.S. on Nintendo platforms – Madden NFL 26 starts out strong

New data from Circana gives us a look at the best-selling games of August 2025 specifically on Nintendo platforms.

Similar to last month, Donkey Kong Bananza is #1. But one game worth highlighting is Madden NFL 26, which is right behind. Story of Season: Grand Bazaar is in third as another new release.

Here’s the full list of best-sellers on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch for August 2025:

1. Donkey Kong Bananza – Nintendo
2. Madden NFL 26 – EA
3. Story of Season: Grand Bazaar – Marvelous
4. Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo
5. Hogwarts Legacy – Warner Bros. Games
6. Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo
7. Mario Kart 8 – Nintendo
8. Minecraft – Nintendo
9. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo
10. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo
