Nintendo goes live with Switch compatibility website for Switch 2

A new website has gone live from Nintendo that lets Switch 2 owners easily check to see which Switch 1 games are compatible with the system.

An overwhelming majority of titles from the previous console work with the new one. However, there are some exceptions here and there. For instance, NieR: Automata – widely considered to be an excellent port on Nintendo Switch – is broken on Switch 2 (at least for the time being).

Using the website is simple. Players only need to enter a game title (or even a general term) to search. Each page on the site informs users if game behavior is consistent, if there are any issues, or if there is full incompatibility. 

Fixes for different Nintendo Switch games on Switch 2 have gradually rolled out over time. Find lists of titles that have been patched here, here, here, and here.
