A few more Nintendo Switch games have been fixed so that they work properly for backwards compatibility on Switch 2.

Earlier this week, we reported separately that NieR: Automata is now in proper order. However, that wasn’t the only game that was fixed up. Several other titles were patched as part of this week’s firmware update, which you can read about here.

The full lineup is as follows:

  • Doom + Doom 2
  • Guardian Tales
  • NieR: Automata
  • Skies Above
  • Sugardew Island
  • Super Mega Baseball 4
  • Timespinner

For newly reported games that are experiencing issues, we have a few status updates in that department. First, with Sports Party, Nintendo say that waiting on the title screen for around 30 seconds causes a problem, but players can continue past the title screen to avoid it. Also, progression problems have now been found with Resident Evil 4 and Blades of Darkness.

We’ll also mention one other thing here. After the previous firmware update earlier in the month, there were reports of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl having issues. However, current player feedback indicate that even after version 21.0.1, there are still problems.

Nintendo has been addressing backwards compatibility issues with Switch 1 games on Switch 2 for a few months now. We have lists of titles that were previously fixed here, here, here, here, and here.
