Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties gets new details on life at Morning Glory, and Kanda damage control – new trailers

SEGA and RGG revealed new details today about Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties covering Kiryu’s life at the Morning Glory orphanage, as well as Kanda damage control quests in Dark Ties. We also have a two new trailers detailing both systems.

Life at Mornin Glory will have Kiryu managing the Morning Glory orphanage, playing mini games, and making connections with the children there. In Dark Ties you can play Kanda damage control, which will have you doing good deeds to raise Kanda’s reputation.

Spend Time With the Kids and Become the Best Caretaker Around!

With Kiryu becoming the manager of Morning Glory Orphanage, it’s your job to look after the children who reside there. Together, you’ll cook, tend to a home garden, help them with homework, fish, and even go bug-catching.

You can make Kiryu stronger by doing chores and interacting with the orphans. As you become more fatherlike, you’ll discover an even larger range of activities.

Daily interactions with the children will also unlock heartwarming substories for each of them. Experience a whole new side of Kiryu as he comes face-to-face with their hopes and dreams!

Family Time Events

Spending time with the kids at Morning Glory will unlock their unique storylines.

Some have trouble making friends, others worry about the future, and there are even those who have fallen in love.

As Kiryu helps them work through their problems, he’ll grow into a more confident father figure.

Hoping to one day become a pro wrestler, Taichi had never tasted defeat in contests of strength—whether at school or at Morning Glory.

Though he believed he was unstoppable, he suffered a shocking loss in a youth sumo tournament.

Now, Kiryu must help him overcome his first setback.

With Riona striving toward her dream, Kiryu decides to get her makeup as a present.

Though he knows little about cosmetics, he diligently does his research to find the perfect gift.

Watch Kiryu step outside his comfort zone in his earnest effort to brighten Riona’s day!

Daddy Rank

A rank that represents Kiryu’s growth as a caretaker at Morning Glory.

Lacking experience in housekeeping, Kiryu will only be able to make curry at first, but by doing daily chores, he’ll improve his skills and learn a wider range of recipes.

Cook the dishes that the kids request to unlock heartwarming new stories at Morning Glory.

Morning Glory Minigames

Do the chores and hang out with the kids at Morning Glory in some exciting minigames!

Try your hand at Sewing to make bags and pouches, race against the clock in the Competitive Bug-Catching contest, and take part in a host of other activities on your quest to become the world’s greatest dad.

Morning Glory Market

The produce, crafts, and other items you get through spending time with the kids can be sold for cash at the Morning Glory Market.

Use these funds to furnish the orphanage, buy new ingredients, and make life at Morning Glory even more fun!

Kanda Damage Control: Paint Kamurocho Red as Mine

Mine Spearheads a Major PR Campaign

As Mine, you are tasked with turning Kanda’s image around so he can climb through the ranks. You’ll need to use wits and knowledge to tackle various requests and challenges on Kanda’s behalf.

Many people around Kamurocho are saddled with woes. Solving their problems will boost Kanda’s public perception. You may also encounter people wrestling with some particularly heavy issues. You won’t want to miss how Mine deals with these problems!

Your progress in Kanda Damage Control will unlock Drink Links, which delve deeper into your relationship with Kanda.

Drink Links

As Mine works tirelessly to boost Kanda’s reputation around town, Kanda decides it’s time for a reward.

He invites Mine to a very special place: the brothel he frequents.

Unable to refuse the kind gesture from his sworn brother, Mine tags along.

With time to kill in the waiting room, the two get to chatting.

In the midst of a seemingly trivial conversation, Mine begins to notice some unexpected concerns from Kanda.

Good Deed Quests

Following the Good Deed Plans created by Zenba, one of Kanda’s subordinates, Mine must look into the incidents happening around town.

Many stories await at the end of each lead, including ones seeped in tragedy.

Witness the normally cool Mine tackle the people of Kamurocho’s troubles head-on.

Helping the Little People

Take on missions that involve aiding distressed civilians to raise Kanda’s reputation.

From people tormented by thugs to a guy who can’t stop sneezing, get out there and help the citizens around town!

Damage Control Challenge

You can complete a variety of Damage Control Challenge missions to raise Kanda’s reputation.

These range from taking out punks on the streets to winning big in minigames.

Charisma Rank

This indicates Kanda’s reputation in the eyes of the public.
Initially labeled as Actually Trash, Mine’s efforts can bring him to the level of Actually God by the final rank, possibly changing him as a person.
