Nintendo Switch 2 gets a few more Switch 1 backwards compatibility status updates, including Chrono Cross fix
Nintendo provided even more Switch 1 backwards compatibility status updates for Switch 2 this week, including confirmation that Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition has now been fixed.
The Square Enix RPG was previously experiencing issues on the newer consoles. However, following an update, all issues have been addressed. Mega Mall Story has been fixed as well.
For games experiencing problems, Nintendo says that Streets of Rage 4 forces a close if you select Extra from the main menu. Also, in Hazel Sky, players may experience graphics problems in some areas.
We did also want to highlight one more thing. Although the Nintendo eShop page hasn’t been updated yet, Crypt of the NecroDancer is now fixed on Switch 2, according to developer Brace Yourself Games. A recent system firmware drop broke the game. However, now you can install the latest game patch to have everything in working order.
This week’s updates come as part of Nintendo’s ongoing efforts to fix a small amount of Switch 1 games that haven’t been functioning correctly on Switch 2.
