Zelda-inspired RPG Bel’s Fanfare confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2, Switch
Chibig today opened a Kickstarter campaign for its latest game, Bel’s Fanfare. The €40,000 goal was reached in just a matter of hours, and that means we’ll be seeing the game on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch down the road – currently it’s targeting 2027.
Bel’s Fanfare is an otherworldly RPG inspired by the Zelda classics as well as “the graphics of the PS2 and GameCube era, although it also recalls great 3DS titles.” The studio adds that Undertale and Spirited Away “contributed greatly to establishing a very special and detailed setting in which to tell one of Chibig’s most personal stories.”
Here’s an official rundown:
For many years, Belceboo and his many children have been left forgotten in the depths of The Witch of the Sea. Now, he has the chance to send his favorite daughter Bel to the outside, where she will serve the captain as the new aura cleaner.
Before parting, Belceboo grants Bel a final gift: the Ukoback gong-shield, an old family heirloom capable of disrupting and absorbing aura.
To the passengers, Bel is restoring the ship to its former glory, but in secret, she is setting in motion a plan to free her family from their imprisonment.
