Amazon offers first chance to buy Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S.
As Nintendo and Amazon continue to mend their relationship, it seems that the retailer is gearing up for its first opportunity to sell the system to customers in the United States.
You can’t purchase the console immediately, which isn’t surprising given how other retailers have handled the situation. Currently you can request an invite for the Mario Kart World bundle or the standard system. Those that register – if they’re selected – will receive an email with a link that’s valid for 22 hours. Note that if you aren’t selected during this round of invites, your request is still eligible to be selected in future rounds so you don’t need to submit another request for the next three months.
Amazon notes that it won’t be able to grant all requests. This is because it’s a high-demand item with limited quantities. Nintendo Switch 2 has been fairly difficult to obtain since launch – restocks at various stores have been limited. Still, it’s certainly welcome to have another retailer added to the mix.
You can sign up for the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle invite on Amazon here and the standard system here. Meanwhile, if you’ve been wondering what’s been going on between Amazon and Nintendo, we have more information about that here and here.
