Animal Crossing: New Horizons players looking to fill up their museum with art can do so by buying pieces from Redd. However, it turns out there’s another way to expand your collection as well.

Findings from dataminer Ninji confirm that you can randomly receive art in the mail from villagers. It appears that the following can take place based on their personalities:

– Jock and Lazy villagers may send any piece (real or fake)
– Smug villagers will only send fake pieces
– Cranky villagers will only send sculptures (real or fake)
– The wild painting is classified as a Sculpture in Nintendo’s code, so you can get those from Cranky villagers too

As Animal Crossing players know, Blathers won’t accept fake art in the museum. Still, you can display it anywhere else on the island, including your house.
