Arc’s Secret side quest guide in Mario & Luigi Brothership
Arc’s Secret is one of Mario & Luigi: Brothership’s few missing side quests. It’s also most likely the first one you’ll be able to take on within the game’s story, and we’d recommend clearing it as soon as possible before you advance the main story. Here’s how to activate the side quest and what you get from completing it. There are very small story spoilers for the first five hours of the game within, so if you’re looking to avoid those details keep that in mind before you continue.
Arc’s Secret side quest guide
After you clear Raynforst Island and Twistee Island, you’ll be sent back to Rumbla Island (which you’ll have already visited once) to take care of another main quest and a story boss. After you take care of that business, you’ll speak to Arc back on Shipshape Island. If you chase him down and talk to him, he’ll reveal he has lost his Spyglass on Raynforst Island, which officially begins the Arc’s Secret quest. As we mentioned earlier, if you advance the main story without clearing this quest, it will become impossible to finish and you’ll miss out on the quest’s rewards. Take on the quest and head to Raynforst Island to begin the search for the Spyglass. Fortunately, it’s easy to find.
Once you enter Raynforst Island, head northeast until you see the first set of blooming flowers to the northwest. Cross over these, and continue heading northwest until you find a pair of characters near an enemy. This group of Invizilizards is guarding the Spyglass, so take them down with Jump and Hammer attacks until they’re all gone. From there, grab the Spyglass and then use the Return Pipe to go back to Shipshape Island. Give Arc the Spyglass, and you’ll complete the Arc’s Secret quest and receive an Arc Scope in exchange. It’s an accessory that increases the experience points you get by 15% if you win a battle without taking any damage, and it also slightly boosts your speed.
Overall, this is definitely an easy quest – but missable content is missable content, and we’ll continue our coverage on Mario & Luigi: Brothership with more guides on missable side quests and other things, too.
