Asobu Indie Showcase 2021 planned for September 1
Japanese indie game creator community Asobu today announced that it will host its Asobu Indie Showcase 2021 on Wednesday, September 1. The broadcast begins at 5 AM PT / 8 AM ET / 1 PM in the UK / 2 PM in Europe. It’ll be live streamed on both YouTube and Twitch.
Asobu says the event will be two hours long, featuring over 60 titles. Viewers can expect to see “upcoming or recently-available games from Japanese indie developers, as well as select overseas-developed games coming to Japan.”
“Getting the word out about your indie game is always a challenge, for all developers, anywhere and anytime,” Asobu co-founder and community manager Anne Ferrero said of the show. “But especially for Japanese indies, who don’t have access to as many opportunities even in the best of times, and especially now with the ongoing pandemic, we hope the asobu showcase can help. Please check it out, share it with friends and help spread the word!”
The official website for the Asobu Indie Showcase 2021 can be accessed here. It’ll eventually highlight the full list of games featured in the video, so you can give it a look after the show ends.
Asobu also noted today that it’s planning more showcases for the future, though no additional information was provided.
