BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s new update has announcer lines for many characters not in the game, two new series
It didn’t take dataminers to get to work on BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s latest update. Version 1.5 added new characters and featured balance adjustments, but some additional content was included behind-the-scenes.
After examining the game’s files, audio announcer lines have apparently been spotted for 75 characters who aren’t on the roster on present. Characters from BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, RWBY, and Arcana Heart were recorded along with two series that not represented in the game.
If the files are anything to go by, characters from Senran Kagura and Akatsuki Blitzkampf could be joining the fray. Senran Kagura, Marvelous’ female ninja franchise, is likely the most prominent name here. Akatsuki Blitzkampf is an indie fighting game from Japan that originally debuted in 2007 from Subtle Style and is said to have a cult following these days.
Event Hubs points out that it’s very unlikely that all 75 fighters from the voice clips will be added to BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Some could be legitimate, but others might be placeholders or even red herrings to stop dataminers from revealing future participants,
