Bravely Default: For the Sequel changes are directly related to the sequel, which will be announced “at a later date”
Bravely Default: For the Sequel is laying the ground work for an actual sequel.
The updated version of the 3DS game was announced a few days ago. It’s making over 100 improvements, including interface enhancements and story changes. These are directly related to Bravely Default’s follow-up, according to producer Tomoya Asano.
Asano told Famitsu this week:
“The improved interface for this game is something we made so we can use it in the sequel, and the story has been changed in sections with an eye for the sequel. So I think you’ll notice some of the threads that we’ll be exploring in the sequel. However, I’m literally in the middle of building the sequel’s story, so I sure can’t give details right now! We’ll be announcing the sequel at a later date, so hopefully people are willing wait a little while longer.”
Bravely Default’s overseas version will be based on For the Sequel. Therefore, players in North America and Europe will be able to experience all of the game’s enhancements.
