Chack’n Pop is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch
Hamster has announced that Chack’n Pop will be this week’s Arcade Archive title releasing on Switch. The game will release tomorrow, on July 21, 2022.
Chack’n Pop is a platformer developed by Taito in 1984 and is generally considered to be a predecessor to the cult classic Bubble Bobble. In the game, you control a small yellow blob with legs called Chack’n who is trying to recover a set of hearts stolen by monsters, all while traversing a cave composed of various single-screen mazes. Chack’n has the ability to walk on floors and ceilings, as well as toss grenades to dispatch enemies and destroy cages containing the previously-mentioned hearts.
Pricing for Arcade Archives Chack’n Pop is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.
