Core Keeper coming to Nintendo Switch 2, “Void & Voltage” update announced

Publisher Fireshine Games and developer Pugstorm not only announced that Core Keeper is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, but also a “Void & Voltage” update is in the works. Both will be available January 28, 2026.

Core Keeper will be upping the player count on Nintendo Switch 2 as eight users will be able to play together. On Nintendo Switch, the limit is four. Core Keeper players playing on the original Nintendo Switch will also be able to join eight-player co-op sessions when connecting to a session hosted by a player on Switch 2.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version will also have improved graphical fidelity and an increased frame rate, targeting 60 FPS alongside visual improvements to lighting, shadows, water quality, and particle effects. Fans that own the Nintendo Switch version can upgrade to Switch 2 for free.

As for the “Void & Voltage” update, there’ll be various new features and content such as an additional biome. Here’s the full rundown:
