Cozy Grove 2 announced

Spry Fox has revealed that its working on Cozy Grove 2, which will act as a follow up to the acclaimed life-sim game.
The studio has provided the original Cozy Grove with a bunch of updates since launch. However, Spry Fox explained that it has started to become “increasingly difficult for us as tech debt builds up, despite our many attempts over the past year to tackle that.” Additionally, “most of the revenue and platform financial support that pays for all these free updates came to us over a year ago with the launch of the game.” Spry Fox ultimately felt that moving forward with a sequel makes the most sense.
When it comes to Cozy Grove 2, the team will have “a chance to take the large amount of time that we need to address the remaining major technical issues that make expanding Cozy Grove too difficult, while also giving us a chance to do the work that will be necessary to delight all of you with new content and hopefully bring new people into our community as well.” There’ll be plenty of new aspects like new environments to explore.
Don’t expect to see Cozy Grove 2 in the near future. While Spry Fox hopes to wrap things up by the end of 2023, it’s not making any promises. The developer ultimately wants to do the best job it can “and to bring you more of the things you loved, plus completely new features that will delight you.”
There’s no word on which platforms Cozy Grove 2 will be on, but Switch is a safe bet given the success of the original title there. Fans can keep track of future updates on the official Discord channel here.
