Cyberpunk 2077 is using DLSS on Nintendo Switch 2
When Cyberpunk 2077 launches on Nintendo Switch 2 in a couple of months, it’ll be running with DLSS tech.
That news comes straight from the developer CD Projekt Red. The studio confirmed that the functionality is used for both handheld and docked play in both performance and quality modes.
Digital Foundry relayed the following statement from CD Projekt Red regarding DLSS on Nintendo Switch 2:
“We’re using a version of DLSS available for Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, powered by NVIDIA’s Tensor cores. The game utilizes DLSS in all four modes: in handheld and docked, and the performance and quality variations of each.”
Shortly after its Switch 2 blowout, Nintendo confirmed that its new console would support both DLSS as well as ray tracing. However, it wasn’t clear if any games were actually using these features yet. As it turns out, DLSS will indeed be in Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt Red provided some other information as well. The company says that the game “is currently targeting 1080p resolution in all modes except handheld performance mode, where we’re targeting 720 resolution. Scaling can range from 2x and up per axis.”
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition launches with the new system on June 5, 2025.
