Dave the Diver is getting a free Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade

Dave the Diver for Nintendo Switch is getting a free upgrade on Switch 2, Mintrocket has announced.

First information about the patch was shared this week to go along with the game’s anniversary. According to Mintrocket, when played on Nintendo Switch 2, there’ll be a higher frame rate. The upgrade is expected to be distributed “in a few months.”

There are some other happenings with Dave the Diver right now as well. Also shared as part of anniversary news updates, the free time-limited Godzilla DLC has returned after it expired last year – fans can grab it until the end of 2026 at the earliest (that window may be extended). The availability window for the Ichiban’s Holiday DLC has additionally been extended to the end of 2026 and regular discounts for the content are planned.

You may recall that Jungle DLC was previously announced for Dave the Diver. While that’s still in the works, it now seems it will arrive in early 2026 instead of late 2025.
