Dead Pets Unleashed, slice of life and management-lite game, coming to Switch

Triple Topping is currently working on Dead Pets Unleashed as its next project, the studio has revealed. The game is confirmed for upcoming release on Switch.

Dead Pets Unleashed is a slice of life and management-lite game with a focus on a narrative about friendship. It follows the punk rock band Dead Pets, who have been in the music scene for a decade. Gordy, the lead singer of a band, lives in New Void City that’s set in the world of Ether, which is inhabited by different species of demons. Players will decide if Gordy will follow her big plans to get the band’s big break or decide to put away childish things after turning 30.

The game does have some heavy topics, but Dead Pets Unleashed will keep things lighthearted with fun slice-of-life mini games. Players can also listen to a real punk rock EP played live during the game and engage in Gordy’s daily schedule to determine the future of the band.

Inspiration has been taken from the cartoons Bojack Horseman and Tuca & Bertie. The music was inspired by female-fronted punk bands like Bikini Kill and Bratmobile.
