Denis Dyack says Shadow of the Eternals isn’t cancelled, but not currently in active development

Denis Dyack, known for spearheading the likes of Eternal Darkness at Silicon Knights many years ago, tried to make the new project Shadow of the Eternals happen during the Wii U era. Dyack and his team were looking to fund their project on Kickstarter, but unfortunately missed out on the funding goal. There’s always been some uncertainty over the game since then, but Dyack has finally provided a mostly definitive update.

The bottom line is that Shadow of the Eternals isn’t happening anytime soon. Dyack told IGN that “it’s not canceled, but it is also not going to be in active development for a while.”

Dyack announced a latest game Deadhaus Sonata from his new development studio, Apocalypse. He says it’s “targeting all platforms,” though it’s unclear if Switch is included.
